Drabble #119 - The New Guy, Part Two

.

The New Guy, Part Two

Characters/Pairings: Ted, Zac (the new guy at the precinct)
Warnings: None
Timeline: Way after Like, Like, Love – when Dee and Ryo as well as Drake and JJ are officially and openly together.
Spoilers: Slightly to the whole series

"Wow, mate, I'm so happy I moved to New York!", Zac exclaimed, "There are such nice birds here!"

"Birds?", Ted snorted in amusement.

"Yes, totally! Don't you think so?"

Ted raised one eyebrow. This guy was truly strange sometimes. "Well, urm... I'm not exactly interested in birds, you know..."

Zac's eyes widened. "Really? You too? That's strange... I mean, I don't mind it, but I've never worked at a police department where NODOBDY likes birds!"

Noone ever found out that "birds" actually meant "women" in England. But Zac was very confused when he spotted Ted with his gilfriend one day.

(Author's Notes: You'd think that Americans and Englishmen would understand each other quite well, but nope...)

Two nations, seperated by a common language. (That's probably somewhat paraphrased and I can't remember who said it originally, but it's true nonetheless.) For two countries who speak the same language (mostly) we're really good at confusing each other! I feel rather sorry for poor Zac!

Nobody understands Zac, he's feeling a little lonely! But maybe one day he'll meet someone who knows exactly what he's going through...

Thank you! :)

Well at least Ted has graduated to 'bi' in Zac's estimation.

And way to go Ted, for getting a girlfriend! Take her dancing! Lay off the bean dip!

Poor Ted - now that he has a girlfriend, he has to do all these things again that he doesn't like... Maybe it's better to be single, after all! ;D

Thank you! :D
